Investment & Insurance

Becoming Branches is a private pay counseling practice. This model allows for greater flexibility, privacy, and individualized care, without the limitations that often come with insurance-based therapy. Many clients choose private pay because of high deductibles, a desire for discretion, or a preference for therapy that is not constrained by diagnostic or treatment requirements set by insurance companies.

Rates & Payment

  • Initial intake session: $260
  • Standard therapy session: $200

Payment is due at the time of service. I accept all major credit cards, HSA and FSA cards, select digital payment options, as well as cash or check.

Insurance & Reimbursement

I am not currently in-network with insurance providers and am considered an out-of-network clinician. That said, many clients are still able to receive partial reimbursement for therapy sessions depending on their out-of-network mental health benefits.

I can provide a detailed receipt, called a superbill, which you may submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement. Coverage and reimbursement rates vary by plan, so I recommend contacting your insurance provider directly to ask about out-of-network therapy benefits before scheduling your first appointment.

Becoming Branches also offers support through Thrizer, a service that helps clients navigate out-of-network insurance reimbursement. Using Thrizer may allow you to receive reimbursement for your sessions, depending on your plan. Please note that coverage is not guaranteed and varies by insurer.

Good Faith Estimates

Under the No Surprises Billing Act, individuals who do not use insurance benefits for their care have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate. If you are paying privately, you will receive a written estimate outlining the expected cost of therapy services before beginning treatment.

This estimate is designed to help you plan and understand the financial commitment involved in your care. Actual costs may vary depending on session frequency and duration. You are welcome to request a Good Faith Estimate at any time or reach out with questions about fees or billing.
